We Need Your Help!

Parkdale Animal Hospital and Roncesvalles Animal Hospital have partnered with the Canadian Animal Blood Bank (CABB), and we need your help. Below you will find information on CABB, the criteria to help other pets, the perks you will receive, and some YouTube videos to guide you through the process of blood donation.

The Canadian Animal Blood Bank (CABB) is a registered charitable organization supported by the Manitoba Veterinary Medical Association and Red River College in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The CABB is dedicated to improving veterinary care by providing blood products for animals that require transfusion therapy as part of their treatment. CABB is located in Winnipeg, MB where the majority of collections and component production occurs. Satellite collection sites are in Calgary, Cochrane, and Edmonton, AB; various Southern Ontario locations; Montreal, QC, and Moncton, NB.

The CABB’s mission is to:

  • Supply high-quality canine blood products to Canadian veterinarians
  • Advance veterinary medicine by educating Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians/Animal Health Technologists in transfusion medicine
  • Increase public awareness of animal blood banking
